I posted about this Chambor Extreme Matte lip crayon in my haul post a while ago, and I am finally here with its review. Let me first talk a bit about the behind-the-scenes action - While shooting the pictures for this product, I just could not find an appropriate background to bring out its true color. That's when Mixie walked in (quite as usual), and I got my model cum background right in front of me, and I clicked away to glory! If you are following me on Instagram, you must be aware that Mixie just blessed us with some adorable kittens! She was also present when I was editing her clicks! Most of the times when I am at my desk busy writing my posts, she just walks in and plonks herself in between me and my laptop, and then I have to sometimes lift her ear, sometimes her tiny paw in order to write a proper sentence! That's how things roll at the Indian Beauty Cafe!!! Okay, now onto the review...

My Experience with Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lip Colour
Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lip Colour, true to its name, is an extreme matte formula sans any shimmer. It applies as a velvety matte finish but later settles into a more powdery matte one.
It is a crayon but not the chubby type; it is rather slim and similar to the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon, both in weight and size. This is a sharpen-able crayon but does not come with its own sharpener. But you can use the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon sharpener, provided you have that one.

The Chambor Extreme Matte crayon does not have any obvious scent to it, which is good. Price is slightly on the higher side; however I generally feel that Chambor as a brand is overpriced. But then so is almost every other brand these days!
One thing I would like to give credit for, to Chambor, is for bringing in deeper/darker colors. At a time when I am starting to get sick of seeing oranges and reds all over the place, it is a welcome relief to find atleast some brands bringing in colors that would suit women with deeper/darker complexions.
By the way, there is another beautiful shade called 'Earthy Red' in this range, a deep brownish-red which would look stunning on dusky beauties. You must check that out!

'Bulgarian Rose' is a glamorous deep/dark purple color - the color of aubergine/brinjal/eggplant. It is the kind of color that would instantly make you look glam even without any other makeup or with least makeup! You can totally depend on this to perk up your look on a lazy day or even on a busy day! It might look a bit stark on lighter skin tones if layered up too much. But tone it down, and anyone can wear it.

'Bulgarian Rose' would look awesome for parties and occasions, and especially with Indian outfits. It is very buildable; so you can go ahead and layer it for added intensity. However, a single swipe is also opaque enough to cover any pigmentation on lips.
With this crayon, you MUST exfoliate and moisturise your lips beforehand. It does have a tendency to settle into lip lines and flake; hence prepping your lips should not be avoided. You can use this to both line and fill your lips; however i like to use a separate lip-liner just out of habit!
Being a matte lip color, it is drying after a while at which time you will need a quick dose of lip balm. Staying power is good especially if you have layered on more than one coat. Inspite of the long-staying power, removal is easy. One thing I did not like is that it when it starts to fade, it kind of looks uneven. I would rather remove and put on a fresh coat, than reapply.
This is how it looks on me. I really like the color!

Overall Impression of Chambor Extreme Matte Long Wear Lip Colour
Somehow I cannot help comparing it to the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon. Considering that both come in the same quantity and at a similar price point, I prefer the Faces crayon more as it is smoother with a better matte formula and finish. The only thing that would make me repurchase or recommend the Chambor Extreme Matte to you would be because of this gorgeous color or for any other color not available in the Faces crayon range. I do plan to get 'Earthy Red'; not too sure though. Sometimes some crayons do soften after some uses, and become less drying; so I will wait it out and then decide.
If I do not compare with Faces, then these are a decent option to have in your collection!
