Lakme's Lip Pouts or Matte Lip Tints.... call them whatever you want.... but they sure have some really vibrant lip colors in the range that are true-blue mattes. They are instant mood-lifters and can make you look alive even when you are feeling dull and dead. I have already reviewed the Raving Red on the blog and today I am reviewing another gorgeous color, 'Magenta Magic'....

Packaging
A cute, retractable crayon-style chubby stick with a silver cap. The crayon-casing is in the same color and of the same matte finish as the lip tint inside. The shade name, weight and dates are mentioned on a sticker at the bottom of the crayon. It is travel friendly.
Shade
'Magenta Magic' is a color true to its name and is a true magenta color. It suits my dusky skin and will surely suit all skin tones.

My Experience
The Lakme lip pout/matte lip tint is a twist-and-use crayon style lip color that is easy to use and carry around. No sharpening required. The color-coded body makes it easy to pick up one from many lip colors.
Formula-wise, it has the same matte texture as others in the range. However, I found this less drying than 'Raving Red'. But you still need to exfoliate and apply a non-waxy lip balm before application.
In spite of being marketed as a 'tint', it is opaque in one swipe. However, you will need to apply more to ensure an even application.
'Magenta Magic' is a color that will brighten your face just like 'Raving Red'. It will suit everybody and give you a fresh face even if you haven't slept well the night before. Especially, if you have dusky complexion like mine, this color will suit you more than 'Raving Red'.
Staying power is almost the same as 'Raving Red'. Stays 2-3 hours in full intensity and then starts fading evenly. After that, it remains as a tint for a couple of hours. I guess that is why Lakme named it as a tint as the tint stays longer than the initial opaque color.
Since 'Magenta Magic' feels slightly more comfortable on me than 'Raving Red', I obviously like it more. That said, I have been liking them more than my initial impressions about them both.

Overall Impression
I recommend the Lakme Lip Tint/Lip Pout to all chubby-stick and matte-lip lovers for this is a chubby cutie-pie in a true matte formula. It can be drying; so take care of that with prior exfoliation and lip-balm application. I also recommend this if you love vibrant colors. The rest of us can wait for the crème lip tints....
