Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palette in I Heart Chocolate - Review, Swatches
December 11, 2015
"Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
If you have seen Toms Hanks' 'Forrest Gump', you know what I am talking about. By the way, it also happens to be Mr. B's favourite film; a point on which we have argued many a times. Though I do like a few scenes here and there, I have not yet been able to see the brilliance in this film. I do like Tom Hanks of course. I like 'Castaway', 'The Green Mile', 'Larry Crowne, 'Saving Mr. Banks' among others.
Anyway, I took the longest time deciding on an eyeshadow palette in my life before I actually zeroed down to this box of chocolates, I mean, palette. This is supposed to be the dupe of the famous Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette (which I do not own and therefore cannot compare). Now let us jump to the review...
Product Description of Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palette 'I Heart Chocolate'
Life is a box of…. Pick and mix for your eyes. You will want to try EVERY chocolate in the box! Mixture of mattes and shimmers.
Ingredients
Unfortunately I cannot show you the full ingredient-list because there is a nasty sticker covering the other part which refused to come out.
Packaging
Sturdy, shiny black case with a long, inbuilt mirror and dual-sided sponge applicator. There is a plastic sheet bearing the names of the individual eyeshadows inside. The palette also has a outer paper box as can be seen in the pictures. The sponge applicator also seems to be of good quality; it does not wobble like those cheap sponge ones. There is a graphical representation of the palette printed on the back of the outside paper box for reference.
This is a very attractive packaging for chocolate-lovers like me. I usually do not care much for packaging; but this one is too cute to resist! Also travel-friendly.

My Experience with Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palette 'I Heart Chocolate'
The Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palette 'I Heart Chocolate' is a palette of 16 gorgeous shades. A mix of mattes and shimmers.
This palette belongs to the 'I Heart Makeup' range of Makeup Revolution. The other four chocolate palettes in this range are Naked Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Pink Fizz, and Death by Chocolate; all of them look equally tempting by the way. At the moment, I am a little bit more inclined towards Salted Caramel.
Some shades did not show up properly on my dusky complexion and needed more swipes, the lighter shades to be specific. However, most of the shades are well-pigmented and buildable. There is not much of fall-out either. The palette does have a good mix of colours as you can see from the swatches below - a good mix of browns and purples. Quality and packaging is pretty good for the price. Below are the hand swatches without any primer. A detailed review along with EOTDs will be up once I get a chance to play more with them.

Overall Impression
As of now, the Makeup Revolution London Eyeshadow Palette 'I Heart Chocolate' seems to be a promising palette for chocolate lovers. Inspite of being a matte-eyeshadow person, I am quite liking this one for its quality, affordability, and variety of colors. I will update this post after having explored the shades in detail.
Did you like the palette? And if you already own it, do let me know your thoughts. Or, you can even comment below and tell me your favourite Tom Hanks movie, maybe?
