Joy Skin Fruits Fairness FaceWash - Review, Swatch
June 29, 2015
Whoever said Yellow Yellow, Dirty Fellow was clearly a pessimist. How could you??
As for me, I usually do not pick up a product for attractive packaging. But on an unplanned visit to a new Reliance Market, this cheery, jolly-looking lemony tube managed to divert my attention and came home with me.
This is my first product from the Joy brand. I am on eye drops currently which blur my vision a bit; so I did not look for the ingredient list at that time. Back home, I realized that it does not have a list. I picked up the smallest size to try out and apparently, only the bigger sized tubes have the ingredient list. Hmmm....
Moving on with the review...

How To Use
My Experience
The face wash is a pale yellow (almost white) in colour and creamy in consistency. It smells lemony-citrusy. It does not lather much but cleans well. Does not leave behind a slippery feel. My dry skin did not feel drier immediately post washing but I did need to moisturize later.
It does give an immediate brightening effect which I like. It is a fairly good face wash if you do not mind the list of chemicals.
Pros
- Immediate brightening effect
- No slippery feel post-washing
- Cleans well
- Smells good, looks even better
Cons
- Chemicals
- Low lathering
Overall Impression
If you are not into chemicals or are trying to avoid them as much as possible (like me), then skip this product. This lemony tube will try to call you but you.... you just walk away!
On the other hand, if you decide to occasionally not care for an all-natural ingredient list and get attracted to a cheery, lemony tube of face wash (again, like me), then get it. After all, it is a good face wash and does its job well.
