Summer in Bangalore this year has been hotter than ever before. Or atleast that is what it feels like. I am almost certain that I am going to melt by May. The bath water is so warm that I feel like dropping a few ice cubes into it! At such a time when frequent showers are bliss, it is equally important to smell good. And what can be better than a perfume that stays long, is easy on the pocket, and well, fits into a pocket too?! Keep reading to know more about exactly such a brand, Neesh Perfumes...
Some time ago, there used to be a squirrel around our house. Everyday, she would come at a particular time of the day. She would first check our pomegranate tree for fruits, then our luvikaaya (berry) tree, then the papaya and then our lemon plant, and finally the berry-like fruit on the palms. I think I am that squirrel. Always experimenting..... with skincare... with makeup... always trying more..... never satisfied with just one! As time passed, the squirrel reduced her visits; but my habit of trying still continues strong. Let us see now how this trial fared...
Let me start this post by wishing the hard-working Fab Bag team a very 'Happy Anniversary', for surviving all odds, for embracing both bouquets and brickbats, for coming up with innovative ideas; in short, for not giving up and working towards improving themselves with every single month, since they started off 3 years back.
You have to admit that irrespective of whether you have/have not liked the products in your fab bag, the Fab Bag team has always given you worth for your money and more. The fact that you end up not liking some products is due to the surprise factor which you are already aware of, while booking your bag. For the same reason, I stopped subscribing to them a while ago and now do so only when a particular fab bag excites me. But whatever you get, is always your money's worth or more; you cannot deny that!
"Nothing revives the past so completely as a smell that was once associated with it." Vladimir Nabokov, the late multilingual Russian writer and poet could not have been more right. Smells play a significant role in recalling past memories and incidents. A mere shampoo can take you back to your childhood where your mother used to lovingly wash your hair with a similar-smelling one.
Not all smells recall pleasant memories, though. In his childhood, Mr. B came across a worm or insect that smelt (according to him, exactly) like coriander leaves. The result - Till date, Mr. B cannot stand the smell of coriander leaves as it reminds him of the unfateful encounter with that worm or insect with which he obviously did not have a nice time. Mind you, it is only the coriander leaves that are banned from his dishes, not the coriander seeds or the powder. Those are still okay.
The Carnival deo spray by Avon is unique and does not remind me of anything from my past. However, when I do spray or sniff it, I visualise myself in a field full of roses and citrusy scents. Let me tell you further......
