Has it ever happened to you that you order a product only to realize when it reaches home that you already have an extra bottle stocked up. Yes, it happened to me with not just one but two products, both from Biotique. One was the Biotique Bio Almond Oil Soothing Face and Eye Makeup Cleanser and the other is this sunscreen being reviewed here. And..... inspite of this mistake, I was least worried. Yes, because these are my beauty staples! I keep repurchasing them anyway; so having a bottle extra, hardly bothers me. You might have guessed already......... I love them both!!!

My Experience
This sunscreen is available in both bottle and tube, as already mentioned. The consistency is a bit thick; so a tube would be a better option. I have transferred this to my empty Olay Total Effects Cream + Serum Duo bottle which has a pump, and have been happily using it.
It has a pleasant, mild and natural sandalwood fragrance which I like. It blends and gets absorbed by your skin easily. Gives a nice glow too.
For my dry skin, it is perfect and moisturizes well. In very hot weather or for oily skin, it may feel just a little bit heavy on face but then you can just reduce the quantity and use. I have noticed that it is more moisturizing on the face than on body which makes it great to use on your body in summers. It is non-sticky too!
It does prevent tanning to a great extent. I have not used it during long hours of continuously being in the sun. However, it works just fine during non-extreme, normal sun exposure. I hope I was clear.
I have been using this for Junior for the past 2 years; that is, since he was 5 1/2 years old. His skin looks fine although he does get tanned once in a while. Please note that it is impossible to completely escape tanning under extreme sun, no matter what you use. You can only reduce the extent of sun damage on your skin.
Another great quality is that it makes an excellent tinted moisturizer base. Just mix in a drop or two of your favourite BB/CC cream or foundation, and you have a superior quality TM that is much better than the so-called TMs available in the market right now.
I wish to clear another doubt that you may have. If it is free of preservatives, then how can it have a shelf life of 3 years? Because it has natural preservatives!!! It is logical to have this doubt since Biotique has labelled it to be just 'preservative free'. They actually meant and should change it to 'Free from chemical preservatives'. Biotique has also confirmed the same. Some of the natural ingredients in this sunscreen like sandalwood and honey have preservative qualities, thereby removing the need of chemical ones.
Lastly, though I have temporarily paused using this to try out other stuff, I have still been a long-term user and would like to point out its benefits in the long run. Over a period of time, say like 3 months, it makes your skin clearer by reducing marks, irrespective of whether you use less or more lotion each time. It will not remove stubborn pigmentation but definitely improves your skin texture and lightens it too. One of the reasons why I dislike highly priced products that do not work, is because I find effective and reasonably priced products in this brand. That said, it doesn't stop me from trying them out in eternal hope.
